Hernö Gin has once again been recognized as the world’s leading gin producer, receiving the prestigious title Gin Producer of the Year at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) 2025. This marks the second year in a row that Hernö Gin receives this top award, which celebrates consistent excellence across an entire portfolio of gins.

The Gin Producer of the Year are determined by a weighted points system, evaluating the overall performance of all entries from a single producer within each category. Hernö has won a staggering total of 60 medals in the ISC Tasting Awards since the very first in 2014.

In addition to this achievement, Hernö’s collaborative creation with acclaimed chef Björn Frantzén, Hernö én Gin, was awarded a Trophy, the highest distinction given to an individual product following its earlier Double Gold presented earlier this year.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the International Spirits Challenge is one of the world’s most respected competitions for spirits. Thousands of entries from over 70 countries are judged by an expert panel consisting of some of the most influential names in the industry. They award medals across five levels - Bronze, Silver, Gold, Double Gold, and the highest accolade, the Trophy. The competition also recognizes individual achievements, including Gin Producer of the Year.

Jon Hillgren attended the ISC’s annual awards dinner to receive both the Gin Producer of the Year title and the Trophy for Hernö én Gin, celebrating yet another milestone for Hernö Gin – the world’s most awarded gin producer.
