05:13 AM EDT, 05/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms (META) is working on a consumer version of artificial intelligence agent OpenClaw and a new agentic shopping tool, The Information reported late Tuesday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

The Facebook parent is training the OpenClaw-like AI agent, internally named Hatch, with the aim of internal testing by the end of next month, the report said, citing one of the people.

The tech giant intends to merge the separate agentic shopping tool into Instagram, with a target rollout date before Q4, another person told The Information.

Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.6 and Claude Sonnet 4.6 models have powered Hatch so far, a third source told the media outlet, adding that the new AI agent will be powered by Muse Spark, Meta's latest AI mode, upon launch.

Meta did not immediately respond to MT Newswires'request for comment.
