04:25 AM EDT, 05/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AlphaValue/Baader Europe lowered its price target and estimates for Stora Enso (STEAV.HE, STERV.HE), citing rising costs due to the Middle East conflict and challenging end markets.

In a note published Monday, the stock's price target declined to 13.8 euros from 15 euros. Meanwhile, EPS estimates were cut 10.9% to 0.92 euro for 2026 and by 13.7% to 1.14 euros for 2027.

"Overall, market sentiment w.r.t Stora seems fragile as results/prospects in key divisions, other than Forests, remain underwhelming, or are set to worsen further from here. However, in our opinion, other than tough end markets, which is a sector-wide reality, it is important to appreciate the firm's sector-first strategic move in partially monetising forests and thereafter, planning their demerger by H1 2027. This could unlock further value for shareholders. Hence, our BUY recommendation is reiterated,"the research firm said.
