Comments From the CEO and the Chairman of the Board
Jan Johannesson, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NordAmps, comments:
”The listing of NordAmps' shares on Nasdaq First North Growth Market represents a natural and important step in the Company's continued development. Through the listing, we are broadening our shareholder base, strengthening our access to the capital markets, and increasing our visibility among both potential investors and potential commercial partners. Jan Andersson, CEO of NordAmps, comments:
”The listing represents an important milestone in NordAmps' development. Through strengthened capital resources and a broader shareholder base, we are creating the conditions to accelerate the commercialization of our technology and take the next step toward establishing a position in a global market with significant potential ahead of us."
NordAmps in Brief
NordAmps is a Swedish deep-tech company that designs, manufactures and sells high-performance circuits for communication systems. The Company’s competitive position rests on its proprietary vertical nanowire transistor technology, which integrates indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs), a high-performance III-V semiconductor material, on standardized silicon substrates. NordAmps believes that this combines the electrical performance of III-V materials with the scalability, established manufacturing infrastructure and cost efficiency of silicon. The Company’s initial commercial focus is on low-noise amplifiers targeting satellite communication, telecom infrastructure, 5G/6G, defense, radar and advanced sensing.
The Company’s operations build on more than two decades of nanoelectronics research at Lund University. NordAmps was founded in 2017 and has since developed from a research-based spin-off into a company focused on high-performance circuits for future communication systems. NordAmps applies a fabless business model, focusing on technology development, circuit design, product development, intellectual property and customer relationships, while manufacturing and industrialization take place together with external production and development partners. An important milestone was reached in 2025 through the collaboration with Finnish VTT, which is intended to establish a European and scalable production chain capable of meeting requirements for volume, quality and cost efficiency.
Background and Reasons for the Listing
NordAmps has transitioned from technology development towards early commercialization and industrialization. In order to finance the next phase, the Board of Directors has resolved to carry out the Offering and to apply for admission to trading of the Company’s shares on Nasdaq First North Growth Market. The Board of Directors and management assess that a listing will support the Company’s continued development by providing access to the capital markets, increasing visibility among customers, partners and employees, and establishing a transparent framework for ownership and governance in line with the Company’s growth.
The demand for higher data rates and increased capacity in wireless communication continues to drive the industry towards higher frequency bands, where amplifier performance and energy efficiency are decisive. According to Ericsson, 5G accounted for 48 percent of global mobile data traffic in 2025, up from 34 percent in the previous year, and is expected to account for approximately 85 percent by the end of 2031. NordAmps intends to address this development with a technology platform designed for high frequencies, low noise and low power consumption.
