NET SALES AND PROFITABILITY CONTINUED TO GROW
The investments in sales made in the last quarters continued to be reflected during the review period. The systematic increase in sales activity, the testing of products together with customers and the provision of support to distributors continued active throughout the entire second quarter of the year.
Orders received increased positively during the second quarter of the year to EUR 22.8 million (20.7), representing growth of 10.3 per cent from the comparison period. Also, net sales increased 22.5 per cent in the review period to EUR 24.0 million (19.6).
By business area, the strongest growth was seen in the Geotechnical business, where net sales increased by 83.8 percent to EUR 6.7 million (3.7). Top Hammer net sales grew by 8.6 percent to EUR 14.3 million (13.1). Down the Hole net sales increased by 7.3 percent, reaching EUR 3.0 million (2.8).
In the market areas, the most significant increase in net sales was witnessed in the Americas region, where net sales increased 43.1 per cent from the comparison period. This growth was driven primarily by the Geotechnical business. The Asia region recorded an increase of 29.1 per cent, and the EMEA region recorded an increase of 18.4 per cent, while in the Australasia region net sales decreased 7.7 per cent from the comparison period.
In the second quarter of the year, comparable EBIT increased significantly to EUR 1.0 million (-0.6). EBIT was 4.1 per cent (-3.1) of net sales. The improved profitability was particularly influenced by a clear increase in net sales. Conversely, profitability was impacted by elevated tungsten prices early in the year. Robit’s net cash flow from operating activities in the second quarter of the year was EUR -2.5 million (1.8).
“The new supply agreements signed during the reporting period and the continuation of long-term customer relationships demonstrate strengthened customer confidence in Robit’s products, service capabilities and long-term cooperation in our strategically important mining markets. The agreements reinforce our position as a global supplier of drilling technology and drilling consumables for the mining industry and support growth in strategically important markets”, states Group CEO, Mikko Kuusilehto.
Robit expects 2026 net sales and comparable EBIT profitability in euros to improve from 2025.
