ABB to Acquire Italy's Specialtrasfo

10:59 AM EDT, 05/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- ABB (ABBN.SW, ABB.ST) on Tuesday said it signed a deal to acquire Specialtrasfo, an Italian manufacturer of specialized medium-voltage transformers.
After the completion of the transaction set in the third quarter, Specialtrasfo will be integrated into the electrification and automation company's division for motion high power.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
