06:01 AM EDT, 05/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Planet Labs (PL) said Sunday it has introduced three additional Nvidia's (NVDA) Jetson artificial intelligence platform-equipped Pelican satellites.

The company has started the commissioning procedure for the three satellites, it said, adding that one satellite is the first to orbit under its recently announced satellite services agreement with the Swedish Armed Forces.

Planet Labs said once the commissioning process is complete, the satellites will work alongside the current Pelican Gen 1 fleet for the delivery of its 50 cm class high-resolution tasking solutions.

The company said it intends to roll out additional Gen 1 and the first Gen 2 Pelican satellites later this year.
