As d’Or – Jeu de l’Année 2026: Toy Battle wins the As d’Or 2026 at the Festival International des Jeux

Boulogne-Billancourt, France, 26 February 2026 – Asmodee, a global tabletop entertainment leader, enjoyed a remarkable evening at the Festival International des Jeux in Cannes where Toy Battle from asmodee studio Repos Production was honored at the As d’Or – Jeu de l’Année 2026 ceremony.
Toy Battle was awarded in the main category, a competitive category alongside runners up Flip 7 and Rebirth.
- Toy Battle, from designers Paolo Mori and Alessandro Zucchini with art from Paul Mafayon and published by Repos Production, is an exciting duel game were players need to reach the enemy headquarters or control more territories than their opponent to win the battle.
Philippe Mouret and Julia Marcelin, both Heads of Studio at asmodee, said “Tonight’s recognition first belongs to the authors and illustrator whose talent and vision brought Toy Battle to life. We also want to thank all the teams involved for their dedication, as well as the Festival’s jury for this distinction. This award is a wonderful acknowledgment of the creativity and vitality of today’s tabletop industry.”
Antoine Rostaing, Country manager France added “This award recognizes the collective work of our teams and the strength of our strategy. It highlights the ability of our ecosystem, from studios to distribution, to develop ambitious concepts and bring them to audiences.
