Strong leasing quarter for Wihlborgs in Denmark following targeted development initiatives
During the second quarter, Wihlborgs signed several major lease agreements in Denmark. Active efforts to develop the property portfolio in areas such as Kastrup and Herlev are now yielding clear results, with companies like Tårnbyhuse and HL Display becoming tenants. Several existing tenants have also chosen to extend their leases and expand their premises.
The residential company Tårnbyhuse will relocate this autumn to 1,500 sqm at Amager Strandvej 390 in Kastrup, where the building’s former assembly halls have been modernized both inside and out, while preserving the industrial character. The property is directly connected to the metro, with a travel time of twelve minutes to central Copenhagen and one minute to Copenhagen Airport.
HL Display, a supplier of retail fixtures, has signed a lease for 800 sqm at Vasekær 12 in Herlev, with move-in scheduled for August 2025. The entire ground floor has been renovated to create a functional space for multiple tenants. HL Display will have access to a large atrium courtyard, a brand-new lunch restaurant, and new meeting rooms.
Wihlborgs’ existing tenant Flatpay has extended and expanded its lease by 1,200 sqm to a total of 5,600 sqm at Hørkær 16 in Herlev. Region Sjælland has also expanded its premises at Ny Østergade 7–11 in Roskilde by 1,100 sqm.
As previously communicated, Per Aarsleff A/S has signed a lease for 24,000 sqm at Ejby Industrivej in western Copenhagen. This property has also undergone extensive upgrades. In total, Wihlborgs signed lease agreements for more than 32,000 sqm in Denmark during the second quarter.
