AeroVironment Launches Halo_Shield Counter-Unmanned Aerial System

10:54 AM EDT, 04/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AeroVironment (AVAV) said Tuesday that it launched Halo_Shield, a counter-unmanned aircraft system designed to predict, detect, track, identify and defeat airborne threats, including Group 1-5 Unmanned Aircraft Systems, coordinated drone swarms, and subsonic cruise missiles.
The company said it is currently demonstrating capabilities and has deployed Halo_Shield tiles at select critical sites.
AeroVironment said Halo_Shield is deployable as portable fly-away kits and integrates with existing customer sensors, effectors, and command-and-control frameworks.
Shares of the company were down 4.5% in Tuesday trading.
