07:06 AM EDT, 05/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- EQT (EQT.ST) plans to privatize Tokyo-listed classified and marketplace platform Kakaku.com in a tender offer priced at 3,000 Japanese yen per share.
The Swedish private equity firm said Tuesday the deal is backed by the target's board and special committee, with major shareholders Digital Garage and KDDI, which together own 38.1%, agreeing to divest their shares through a share buyback after the tender offer.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
