Intertek Board Open to Recommending EQT's Final Takeover Proposal

03:37 AM EDT, 05/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Intertek Group (ITRK.L) said Wednesday its board would be minded to recommend a final takeover proposal from Swedish private equity giant EQT (EQT.ST), subject to agreement on the full terms and conditions of a deal.
The final proposal comprised a cash offer of 60 pounds sterling per share. Intertek shareholders would also be entitled to retain the company's final 2025 dividend of up to 1.077 pounds per share, if approved.
The proposal follows the British assurance, testing, and certification company's rejection of EQT's earlier three cash bids, the most recent of which was 58 pounds per share.
Intertek said it will provide EQT access to confirmatory due diligence and has paused work on its strategic review. EQT has until June 11 to announce a firm intention to make an offer.
