NRC Group, GRK Infra Units Win EUR465 Million Tramway Project in Finland

05:38 AM EDT, 05/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- NRC Group's (NRC.OL) NRC Group Finland and GRK Infra's (GRK.HE) GRK Finland secured a two-phased tramway construction project from Turku Tramway and the City of Turku in Finland.
The project has an overall value of 465.2 million euros, with the Nordic infrastructure company to receive 190 million euros of the total, according to a Tuesday release.
The first phase of the agreement, which is expected to be signed in September 2026, is valued at 33 million euros and includes the building of a public transport corridor in Turku. Construction work is expected to start in early 2027, with completion expected to take place by the end of 2028.
Meanwhile, construction of the tramway under the second phase of the project is anticipated to be completed in 2032, with commercial operations slated for autumn 2033.
