Puuilo will move its current Virkamies store in Vantaa to new premises in Tammisto, Vantaa in the autumn of 2026. The new store will open at the former Plantagen site on Tammisto Kauppatie. All current Virkamies employees will transfer to the new Tammisto store.

The current Puuilo store in Virkamies, Vantaa, which opened in 2006, is one of the chain's oldest stores. The company's headquarters were located in the back rooms of this store until 2017. According to Puuilo's CEO Juha Saarela, the Virkamies store no longer meets the chain's current needs. "The current store is old and has become somewhat cramped. Especially the parking space is sometimes insufficient for customer parking.” Puuilo has been looking for commercial space in Tammisto for several years. "We are now getting a store in one of the best commercial locations in Finland. At the same time, we are getting new, more spacious premises, a sufficiently large parking lot, and an outdoor store that is part of our current concept. The commercial appeal and ease of shopping will rise to a whole new level at once."

Puuilo's growth continues according to the company's strategy. During the current financial year, Puuilo has opened stores in Varkaus, Savonlinna, Lohja, Mäntsälä, and Keljo in Jyväskylä. In addition, there will be store openings in Iisalmi and Heinola by the end of the financial year. In addition to the store to be opened in Tammisto, the company has announced that it will open stores in Espoonlahti and Hollola in 2026.
