Attendo grows within LSS and the Unika brand – acquires Främja AB
Attendo has signed an agreement to acquire Främja AB (Främja). The acquisition is another step in Attendo's growth journey and investment in LSS operations under the Unika brand. Together with Främja, Unika gains additional breadth, expertise and commitment in the work of offering and developing high-quality functional care.
Attendo operates its LSS operations under the Unika brand, which was launched in September 2024 after the merger with Team Olivia. With the acquisition of Främja, Unika's offering is complemented by serviced housing within LSS in, among other places, the growing metropolitan regions of Stockholm, Gothenburg and Uppsala in attractive, central locations. Främja also conducts daily operations within LSS in Stockholm.

The municipalities’ need for help is increasing when it comes to increasingly complex care needs where there is often a lack of local niche expertise and resources. As our business grows, we have the opportunity to invest more in both expertise and method development, which creates value for both the person in need of care and our municipal customers,” says Martin Tivéus, President and CEO, Attendo.

The deal does not include Främja’s Norwegian operations and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.

Unika brings together around 200 units within functional support throughout Sweden. The mission is to create a safe and developing environment for a meaningful and independent life. Unika offers most interventions within LSS such as group homes, daily activities, children's homes as well as short-term housing and accompaniment around Sweden. The common denominator for all Unika activities is to always start from the individual's abilities with a commitment to quality and individually adapted solutions. Unika also offers niche activities within co-morbidity, Prader-Willi syndrome and group homes with a sign language environment.

The company offers housing with special services as well as daily activities for children, young people and adults in Gothenburg, Uppsala, Järna and Stockholm in a total of 16 operations. The operations must also be based on respect for the individual's right to self-determination and integrity and be characterized by a holistic view, represent continuity and be coordinating.
