EBay Confirms Receiving GameStop's Acquisition Proposal

08:40 AM EDT, 05/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- EBay (EBAY) said Monday it has received an unsolicited, non-binding acquisition proposal from GameStop (GME).
The e-commerce company said its board, in consultation with financial and legal advisors, will review and consider the proposed offer.
EBay said it did not hold any talks with or outreach from GameStop before receiving the proposal.
GameStop said Sunday it submitted a non-binding proposal to acquire all outstanding shares of eBay for $125 each.
Shares of eBay were up 7.6% in Monday premarket activity, while GameStop's stock was 3.5% lower.
