RTX's Raytheon Wins Contract to Provide SeaRAM Systems for Australia's New Ships

09:48 AM EDT, 05/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RTX's (RTX) Raytheon said Monday it has been awarded a contract by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to supply SeaRAM ship self-defense systems for an Australian frigate program.
Financial details were not provided.
The program will replace Anzac-class frigates with 11 upgraded Mogami-class frigates, Raytheon said, adding it will supply SeaRAM launchers, Blast Test Vehicles, and services to back the installation and testing of the systems for the first three ships.
Separately, RTX's Collins Aerospace said Monday it is investing $26.5 million to expand its facility in Largo, Florida, that makes commercial-aviation radars as well as security products for defense clients.
The new radar production area is slated to be fully operational by late this year, the company said.
