UniCredit Shareholders Approve EUR6.7 Billion Capital Raise for Commerzbank Offer

07:07 AM EDT, 05/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- UniCredit (UCG.MI) said Monday that it has secured its shareholders'authorization to raise 6.7 billion euros by issuing 470 million new ordinary shares in tranches through December 2027.
The Italian bank noted that the new shares will be issued without preemptive rights and will be used for the contribution in kind of Commerzbank (CBK.F) shares tendered in the ongoing takeover exchange offer announced in March.
