Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) dismisses claim that Truecaller breached GDPR

During 2022 and 2023, IMY received complaints from one individual accusing Truecaller for breaching GDPR. Earlier this year, IMY opened an investigation and asked Truecaller questions about Truecaller's data practices and data separation framework, which the company responded to. Today, IMY notified the company that they have determined that the investigation does not show that Truecaller has breached GDPR. Consequently, the case has been closed without any enforcement action or penalties imposed.

Truecaller has rigorous processes in place to be compliant with all relevant privacy regulations. Truecaller has not and will never compromise data privacy or data integrity in any way.
