05:13 AM EDT, 05/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AlphaValue/Baader Europe is optimistic on Ams Osram's (AMS.SW) revenue growth over the long term following the Switzerland-listed light and sensors manufacturer's first-quarter results.

On Tuesday, the research firm changed its opinion to reduce from sell, with a price target of 21.7 francs.

"In the Q1 results, the company disclosed that it is working with light based optical interconnects with some customers, and has also proceeded with a full portfolio of products for AI VR glasses,"analysts wrote. "While we expect the revenues for these divisions to materially impact beyond FY 28, we see posiitve [sic] trends for long term revenue growth as well as improved profitability."

Analysts also lifted their long-term EBITDA growth forecast to 7% from 6%, highlighting the company's expectation that it will turn cashflow positive in 2027.

"In light of these developments, we view it prudent to use a higher multiple, with further improvement expected as the recovery and profitability continue to accelerate,"the research firm added.
