Aquila European Renewables, Commerzbank Unit Terminate Talks on Proposed Asset Sale

04:07 AM EDT, 05/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aquila European Renewables (AERS.L, AERI.L) said Thursday that negotiations for the planned sale of half of its asset portfolio to Commerzbank's (CBK.F) Aquila Capital Investmentgesellschaft have failed.
The investment company said Aquila Capital, which is also its investment adviser, sought to increase the assets under offer to two-thirds of the portfolio before the expected signing of a formal sale and purchase agreement. It added that the revised proposal applied a "materially wider discount"to the portfolio's net asset value.
Aquila European Renewables will now appoint consultants to review its investment advisory arrangement with Aquila Capital, including the latter's compliance with standards of conduct.
