The decision fully validates the arbitration clauses included in the French supermarket chain operator's contracts and dismisses the initial judgment of the Rennes Commercial Court, which the appeal court said lacked jurisdiction to hear the franchisee group's claims.
Carrefour said it intends to engage in discussions with its franchise partners, while noting that the association rejected a settlement proposal.
