10:03 AM EDT, 05/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Apple (AAPL) has backed Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) concerns on risks to privacy, security and safety due to the plan of European antitrust regulators to force Google to help rivals access its services, Reuters reported Wednesday.

Apple was answering the European Commission's call last month for feedback on draft measures to help Google comply with the Digital Markets Act, according to the report.

The tech company is also subject to EU proposals to open up its ecosystem, the report said.

"We are concerned that further rules which are often driven by competitor grievances rather than the interest of consumers, will compromise user privacy, security, and innovation,"Google had said in an earlier statement.

Apple did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
