Market Chatter: Apple Considering Intel, Samsung as Potential US Chip Manufacturing Partners

Idag, 10:10

04:10 AM EDT, 05/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Apple (AAPL) has held early discussions with Intel (INTC) and Samsung Electronics on producing key device processors in the US, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The talks are preliminary, with Apple continuing to rely on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) as its primary chip supplier, according to the report.

The company is assessing alternative manufacturing options as supply constraints on advanced chips have limited production of devices such as iPhones and Macs, the report said.

Apple, Intel and Samsung did not immediately respond to MT Newswires'request for comment.
