The plan expands the current Square point-of-sale software connection for Uber Eats into new regions such as Canada, Australia, and various European nations, the company said.

Restaurants can process incoming delivery requests directly through their primary retail systems without requiring supplementary tablets to oversee menus and inventory, Block said.

The arrangement additionally introduces the Cash App digital wallet as a standardized checkout method for transportation and food orders in the US, it said.
