08:12 AM EDT, 05/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fiserv (FISV) said Thursday it is working with OpenAI to integrate advanced AI capabilities into its platforms, aiming to help financial institutions modernize operations and improve efficiency.

The collaboration will focus on building AI agents for key banking workflows, speeding up system upgrades and digital migrations and developing banking-specific AI tools tailored to industry needs, it said. The companies are also exploring ways to strengthen cybersecurity using AI, it added.

Fiserv said the initiative is designed to reduce operational complexity and allow banks to focus more on customers.

The companies have already begun work on the project, with initial AI-driven solutions expected to roll out to Fiserv clients throughout 2026 and beyond, it said.
