Pentagon Strikes Deals With Seven AI Firms to Deploy Tech on Classified Networks

08:12 AM EDT, 05/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The US Department of Defense on Friday said it has entered into agreements with seven of the largest artificial intelligence companies to deploy their AI capabilities on its classified networks for "lawful operational use."
The Pentagon said it has reached deals with Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google, Nvidia (NVDA), Microsoft (MSFT), Amazon's (AMZN) Amazon Web Services, SpaceX, OpenAI, and Reflection.
"These agreements accelerate the transformation toward establishing the United States military as an AI-first fighting force and will strengthen our warfighters'ability to maintain decision superiority across all domains of warfare,"the department said.
The companies didn't immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
