Rocket Lab Completes Second Launch for Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency

04:21 AM EDT, 04/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Rocket Lab (RKLB) said Thursday a mission has lifted off from its launch complex in New Zealand to deploy eight spacecraft for the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, its second dedicated mission launch for the agency.
The spacecrafts will serve JAXA's satellite technology demonstration program that includes an ocean-monitoring satellite and a demonstration satellite for ultra-small multispectral cameras, the company said.
Rocket Lab shares were down 1% in premarket activity.
