08:03 AM EDT, 04/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Waldencast (WALD) shares were up 31% in Wednesday premarket activity, a day after the company said the US Securities and Exchange Commission ended its probe of company's restatement of its financial results and material weaknesses and that the regulator had decided to take no enforcement action against Waldencast.

KalVista Pharmaceuticals (KALV) shares were 39% higher after the company and Chiesi Group said they have signed an agreement under which Chiesi will acquire KalVista for $27 per share in cash, or about $1.9 billion.

Akanda (AKAN) stock was 17% higher, continuing Tuesday's gain.

NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) shares were up 20% after the company reported overnight higher fiscal Q1 non-GAAP earnings and revenue that also beat analysts'forecasts in addition to setting higher-than-expected fiscal Q2 guidance.

Seagate Technology (STX) stock was up 18%, a day after the company posted higher fiscal Q3 non-GAAP earnings and revenue that were also ahead of analysts'estimates in addition to issuing better-than-expected fiscal Q4 outlook.
