European carmaker Mercedes-Benz Group (MBG.F) joined a group challenging the UK's Financial Conduct Authority's 9.1 billion-pound-sterling redress program to compensate consumers for the mis-selling of motor loans, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
The regulator recently said it received legal challenges and is considering its response, with further details expected in the current week.
"Mercedes‑Benz Group can confirm that it has appealed against the FCA's proposed Redress Scheme. Given that this is subject to ongoing legal proceedings, we cannot comment further,"a spokesperson said in response to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
