05:29 AM EDT, 05/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping reached agreements aimed at expanding trade and improving economic cooperation following meetings in Beijing last week, The White House said Sunday.
China agreed to address US concerns over rare earth supplies, purchase 200 American-made Boeing (BA) aircraft, and buy at least $17 billion annually in US agricultural products through 2028, citing to a fact sheet released Saturday.
US-China trade and investment boards will be established to oversee bilateral trade in non-sensitive goods and facilitate government-level investment discussions following agreements between Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The two countries also agreed to create US-China trade and investment boards to support ongoing economic talks, while reaffirming cooperation on Iran, North Korea and global trade stability, it added.
