As a consequence of Starbreeze acquiring the publishing rights for Payday 3, the company will now have a chance to prove whether they themselves are the best publisher for the game. The studio has proven itself before with years of smart marketing for Payday 2, which should mean the chances are relatively good. The increased sales tied to the PlayStation Plus “campaign” give some hope that the game could become profitable in the longer term.
