Microsoft and its ecosystem partners play a central role in the rapid adoption of cloud and AI solutions by enterprises in Mexico, according to a new research report published today by Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm.
The 2025 ISG Provider Lens™ Microsoft AI and Cloud Ecosystem report for Mexico finds that enterprises are quickly migrating to cloud computing, with service providers estimating that adoption of cloud solutions is rising more than 25 percent per year and likely to keep up that pace in 2026. Use of the cloud has spread to business functions such as human resources and administration, accelerating enterprise digitalization, the report says.
“Cloud computing has become a major catalyst for change in Mexican enterprises,” said Bill Huber, partner, digital platforms and solutions, for ISG. “Advanced AI technologies from Microsoft Azure and its ecosystem partners are helping companies optimize operations and accelerate innovation.”
About half of the enterprises in Mexico are making extensive use of cloud computing, ISG says. The country’s more traditional industries, such as finance, healthcare and manufacturing, are becoming more confident about moving to the cloud. Providers are establishing regional data centers that offer Mexican organizations security, resilience and faster response times. Though companies initially adopted cloud infrastructure for scalability and availability, they are now seeking cloud-based applications to directly improve productivity and business outcomes.
Cloud-based AI tools such as ChatGPT, along with growing use of advanced mobile devices, have triggered strong public interest in AI in Mexico, the report says. As consumers adopt AI, companies are under pressure to modernize and digitize operations and offer more attractive customer experiences. Microsoft’s sharp focus on AI, with Copilot and other solutions, has helped it penetrate the market for AI-based solutions. The company is also making significant investments in Mexico to improve connectivity and encourage AI adoption, especially by small and midsize enterprises.
As Mexican organizations move to the cloud, demand for the Microsoft 365 productivity suite has grown. Small and medium-sized companies are adopting the suite for its scalability, and education, healthcare, finance and manufacturing organizations are embracing it. The rise of hybrid work and remote collaboration triggered by the pandemic has boosted Microsoft 365’s popularity. Demand is also rising for Power Platform, Microsoft’s solution for low-code/no-code development, which companies are using to automate processes without the need for advanced programming skills.
“Mexico has become a dynamic market for Power Platform as companies embrace business automation,” said Jan Erik Aase, partner and global leader, ISG Provider Lens Research. “There is strong competition among providers to offer Power Platform solutions that meet local needs.”
The report also examines other Microsoft ecosystem trends in Mexico, including the rise of hybrid multi-cloud environments and growing demand for Azure managed services.
