Kiwok and New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) starts a Collaboration

Kiwok and NYUAD have started a development collaboration with the objectives to broaden the Kiwok ECG monitoring offering with a new effective blood pressure monitoring solution for the global market and to adapt our combined solutions to local UAE market conditions.

The project will engage the Kiwok development organisation with partners and the Research Center for Translational Medical Devices (CENTMED) at NYUAD. Kiwok CEO Klas Nyström and CTO Anders Björlin will lead the Swedish team and Associate Professor Sohmyung Ha and Research Scientist Dr Vega Pradana Rachim the team at NYUAD. The two parties will invite other regional medical research organisations to join the now established collaboration.

One of the first steps in the collaboration has now been initiated by Kiwok by sending an ECG monitoring solution to Abu Dhabi for testing at NYUAD research lab. This delivery of test equipment is planned to be followed by deliveries of more equipment in the end of summer or early autumn.

The matchmaking that led to the two parties started negotiations was executed by Malak Sekkat and Emma Hamre at Business Sweden Dubai office.
