Northmill successfully closes its second Tier 2 bond
Press Release, September 4, 2026
Northmill Group AB (publ) today announces the successful closing of its second Tier 2 bond of SEK 150 million, with a margin of 475 basis points over three-month STIBOR. The bond is issued by the bank's parent company, Northmill Group AB, with the issuance date set for 11 September 2026. The issuance follows a continued strong performance as presented with the second quarter of 2026. This further optimises Northmill’s capital structure and provides strategic flexibility, on its journey with continued strong and profitable growth.
“Our ambition is to challenge established structures and improve people’s financial lives through innovative, flexible and modern products. With this strengthened capital base, we continue to execute on our long-term strategy while solidifying our position as a leading digital challenger bank,” said Julie Chatterjee, CEO of Northmill Group.
The issuance follows Northmill’s inaugural Tier 2 bond issuance in November 2025 and the successful issuance of an Additional Tier 1 bond in April 2026.
“Closing our second Tier 2 bond in less than a year demonstrates strong investor support for Northmill’s journey. Backed by the solid results delivered for the second quarter of 2026, we have now issued an attractively priced bond. This provides us with additional headroom for continued growth of our scalable digital platform”, said Emil Folkesson, CFO at Northmill Group.
Arctic Securities AS, filial Sverige, acted as financial advisor in connection with the bond issue, and Advokatfirman Vinge served as legal advisor for the transaction.
