04:10 AM EDT, 05/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Arm (ARM) is under US antitrust scrutiny over its semiconductor technology licensing practices, Bloomberg reported Saturday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

The Federal Trade Commission is investigating whether Arm is using its licensing model to dominate parts of the chip market while expanding into its own processor designs, according to the report.

Following complaints from Qualcomm (QCOM), regulators in the US, Europe and South Korea are reviewing Arm's licensing practices, while Arm denies wrongdoing and says its chipmaking push is customer-driven, Bloomberg added.

Arm and Qualcomm did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
