05:47 AM EDT, 04/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft-owned (MSFT) Minecraft, Roblox (RBLX), Epic Games'Fortnite and Steam are being required by Australia's eSafety Commissioner to detail their safety measures against grooming, sexual extortion and youth radicalization, the regulator said Wednesday.
The notices issued to the gamemakers were in response to concerns over how online games are being used by sexual predators and extremist groups, according to the statement.
The regulator said it aims to check whether the gaming companies'design, systems and staffing are compliant with the Australian government's regulations.
Microsoft, Roblox, Epic Games, and Steam did not immediately respond to MT Newswires'requests for comments.
