Georg Fischer Books Order from NYAB for SSAB's Electric Steel Mill Project

02:16 AM EDT, 05/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Georg Fischer (GF.SW) received an order for a turnkey marine intake and onshore pipeline system from specialized contractor NYAB (NYAB.ST).
The order will be used for steel company SSAB's (SSAB-A.ST, SSABAH.HE) plan to build an electrified steel mill in Lulea, Sweden, that will have an annual capacity of 2.5 million tonnes, according to a Wednesday release.
In addition to large-diameter pipelines, the Swiss piping systems company will provide welding, assembly, and pressure testing services on the system under the order. The project will run from the second quarter of 2026 through the fourth quarter of 2027.
