04:12 AM EDT, 05/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research affirmed its investment case for Infineon Technologies (IFX.F), noting in-line sales for the fiscal second quarter and 2026 revenue guidance upgrade.

"Infineon's 2Q26 was in line on sales but softer on margins. Group sales were EUR3,812m (up from EUR3,662m in 1Q26; in line [Visible Alpha] cons EUR3,817m),"analysts said Wednesday. "Management said the [gross margin] decline was driven by weaker high‑voltage e‑mobility, restructuring costs in that business, and planned price adjustments at the start of the year. We reiterate our Buy recommendation/Top Pick in Diversified at [price objective] EUR67/$78."

The German semiconductor maker guided 4.1 billion euros in sales with a high‑teens segment margin for the fiscal third quarter and upgraded its 2026 outlook to revenue rising "significantly"year over year from "moderate"growth. The guidance upgrade is the main investor focus now, the research firm said, adding that it still expects an upside to artificial intelligence in fiscal 2027.
