12:31 PM EDT, 05/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (ABEA.F, ABE0.F) Google reportedly submitted its proposed commitments to address the European Commission's antitrust concerns and avoid additional penalties over its demotion of other media publishers'content in its search results.

Bloomberg News on Wednesday cited people familiar with the matter as saying that the measures include revising Google's site reputation abuse policy to ease restrictions on news publishers hosting content from certain third-party advertisers.

In November 2025, the commission initiated proceedings under the Digital Markets Act into the Google policy over concerns that it "may impact publishers'freedom to conduct legitimate business, innovate, and cooperate with third-party content providers."

Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
