SpaceX Secures Option to Acquire Cursor for $60 Billion Later This Year

04:05 AM EDT, 04/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla's (TSLA) Chief Executive Elon Musk's SpaceX said in an X post Tuesday that it secured a $60 billion option to acquire Cursor later in 2026.
The startup also has an option to pay $10 billion to Cursor for their collaboration as the two startups are partnering to create the "world's best coding and knowledge work AI,"according to the post.
SpaceX said the integration of Cursor's product and distribution to software engineers with SpaceX's million H100 equivalent Colossus training supercomputer will support the development of the "world's most useful models."
