05:36 AM EDT, 05/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) is recalling 218,868 vehicles in the US over concerns that the rearview camera image may be delayed when the vehicle is placed in reverse, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Tuesday.

The recall covers certain Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X vehicles.

"A delayed rearview image reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash,"the regulator said.

The electric vehicle maker has released an over-the-air software update free of charge for the affected vehicles, the NHTSA said.

Tesla didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires'request for comment.
