Bravida divests ABEKA EL & Kraftanläggningar AB
Vidia Climate Fund I becomes new owner as Bravida sells the company ABEKA EL & Kraftanläggningar AB.
Abeka has been part of Bravida since 2015, and over the past 10 years the company has developed in the electricity distribution segment through growth and increased profitability. To give Abeka the right conditions to take the next step in its ongoing journey, Bravida believes that a new owner is the right way to go.
The divestment is a natural part of Bravida’s development. The focus going forwards is to continue to develop strategically prioritised areas, with other parts of electricity distribution and energy transmission being of interest in that regard.
Mattias Johansson, CEO and Group President at Bravida, comments:
“Abeka has good potential to develop further and we are confident that both Abeka's customers and employees will be welcomed and taken care of by the new owner. We wish them all the best. For Bravida, the divestment further strengthens our balance sheet and gives us new opportunities to develop in other parts of the value chain that are more technology-intensive and better suited to our existing competences and economies of scale.”
The divestment will take place in Q1 2026.
