08:33 AM EDT, 05/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Apple (AAPL) is facing renewed criticism from Epic Games after the videogame maker said Tuesday that its popular title Fortnite has returned to the App Store globally amid the companies'ongoing legal battle over App Store fees.

Epic said Apple would eventually be forced by US courts to disclose the costs behind its App Store commissions, which the game developer has argued are anti-competitive.

The companies have been fighting in court since 2020 over Apple's practice of charging commissions of up to 30% on in-app purchases.

Fortnite returned to Apple's US App Store last year after being banned for nearly five years.

However, Epic said the game has not yet returned to the Australian App Store because Apple continues to enforce developer terms that courts previously found unlawful.

Apple did not immediately respond to MT Newswires'request for comment.
