09:06 AM EDT, 05/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Apple (AAPL) on Tuesday previewed a range of new accessibility features powered by Apple Intelligence, including upgrades to VoiceOver, Magnifier and Voice Control.

The iPhone maker said the updates, arriving later this year, will allow blind and low-vision users to get more detailed image descriptions and ask follow-up questions about objects seen through a device's camera. Voice Control will also gain natural language navigation, allowing users to interact with apps using conversational commands instead of memorizing labels, it said.

Apple said it is also introducing on-device generated subtitles for videos without captions across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Vision Pro. The company said the feature uses private on-device speech recognition to automatically transcribe spoken audio.

Apple also unveiled a new eye-tracking powered wheelchair control feature for compatible alternative drive systems on Apple Vision Pro.
