The private equity firms are consulting advisers, evaluating financial materials, and carrying out due diligence on potential transactions. However, deliberations are ongoing, and no final decisions on any binding offers have been made, the sources added.

Meanwhile, Altaris is also pursuing an offer for the Swiss contract drugmaker, which has an estimated market value of $1.6 billion, according to the report.

PolyPeptide, EQT, and IDG did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
