AB Nordiska Kompaniet transfers ownership of NK Fine Jewellery & Watches to AB Nymans Ur 1851
AB Nordiska Kompaniet has entered into an agreement with the esteemed watch and jewellery specialist Nymans Ur, under which Nymans Ur will operate the NK Fine Jewellery & Watches department in Stockholm as of 1 October 2025.
AB Nordiska Kompaniet has decided to streamline the operations of its subsidiary NK Retail. As a result, the ownership of NK Fine Jewellery & Watches department has been transferred to AB Nymans Ur 1851. This will provide NK Retail’s organisation with greater scope to focus on other product categories.
“Nymans Ur has a solid foundation of unique specialist expertise that will enable it to further develop the department and offer our customers memorable experiences. When we make changes at NK, we do so with the best interests of the entire department store in mind. We are convinced that having more dedicated experts in our various categories will benefit us as a whole," says Hannes Hasselrot, CEO of Nordiska Kompaniet.
Nymans Ur specialises in exclusive watches and jewellery, and its history dates back to 1851. The company includes the concepts of Nymans Ur 1851, KRONS, Panerai Boutique Stockholm and Rare Jewelry. It operates four stores in Stockholm and Västerås, in addition to an e-commerce channel.
“NK is an iconic destination, holding Sweden's strongest position in the luxury and premium segment and we share the same vision of creating memorable experiences. We look forward to writing the next chapter in the department store’s history, focusing on our expertise and passion for watches and jewellery and the customer experience. Managing the NK Fine Jewellery & Watches department is a natural step in our expansion journey,” says Åsa Sparrmo, CEO of AB Nymans Ur 1851.
All employees at the NK Fine Jewellery & Watches department will be offered employment at Nymans Ur. Transfer of ownership is subject to the customary terms and conditions of transfer.
