Freemelt Holding AB (publ) publishes the 2025 Annual Report. The full report is available on Freemelt's website and as an attachment to this press release.

The 2025 Annual Report demonstrates how Freemelt is taking decisive steps from research-driven development toward the industrial application of metal-based additive manufacturing (AM). With its open E-PBF platform (Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion) and product portfolio comprising Freemelt® ONE and eMELT®, the company is positioning itself as a long-term productivity partner for customers in defense, energy and medtech, three sectors where demand for high-performance metal components is driven by structural trends such as geopolitical uncertainty, the energy transition and an aging population.

Highlights from the 2025 Annual Report:

  • Net sales nearly tripled to SEK 54.5 million, compared with SEK 20.0 million the previous year (+172%)
  • The installed machine base grew by 40% to 40 machines, including the first-ever deliveries to Asia
  • Freemelt strengthened its position in fusion energy through a strategic order from F4E (Fusion for Energy) for the qualification of tungsten for fusion applications, as well as an eMELT® order from UKAEA
  • A rights issue contributed SEK 90 million before issue costs, establishing the financial foundation for continued commercialization and industrialization
  • All manufacturing was outsourced to Scanfil from 1 October, providing a scalable and industrially robust production platform for global scale-up
  • An agreement with China-based Jiuli opened access to the markets in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, with the first eMELT® machine delivered there in December
  • An Advisory Board of leading experts and industry profiles was established in December to drive innovation and the industrialization of additive manufacturing

"We have established ourselves as a clear number two in the E-PBF market and are well positioned to capitalize on the strong market development. Metal-based AM is moving from the research labs into the boardrooms and onto political agendas and we enter 2026 with strong conditions to take clear steps toward industrial application," says Daniel Gidlund, CEO of Freemelt Holding AB (publ).

The Annual General Meeting will be held in Gothenburg on 21 May 2026. The 2025 Annual Report is available on the company's website under the investor section.

About Us

Freemelt develops advanced 3D printers for metal components and aims to become the leading supplier in additive manufacturing (AM) using E-PBF technology, targeting SEK 1 billion in revenue by 2030. The solutions primarily support companies in the defense, energy, and medical technology sectors in Europe, U.S. and Asia, enabling them to drive innovation and improve production efficiency.
Founded in 2017, Freemelt has expanded its product portfolio to include three printer models, with two designed for industrial production and one (Freemelt ONE) targeting research institutes and universities. The modular industrial printers (eMELT) leverage E-PBF technology, delivering significantly higher efficiency compared to other machines on the market while maintaining flexibility in metal selection.
Freemelt generates revenue primarily through the sale of advanced 3D printers at fixed prices, complemented by support and maintenance services, which are expected to account for 25% of total revenue by 2030.
The company is now focused on further industrializing its product and service portfolio and driving commercialization in the European, North American, and Asian markets. Read more at www.freemelt.com
