Newell Brands Inc. (NASDAQ: NWL), a leading global consumer goods company with a portfolio of iconic brands including Rubbermaid®, Sharpie®, Graco®, Yankee Candle®, Oster®, Coleman® and more, announces the 15 grant recipients of its Local Impact Grant Program (LIGP), a corporate giving program powered by the Newell Brands Charitable Foundation and rooted in a continued commitment to community impact and employee-driven philanthropy.

Launched in 2019, LIGP is part of Newell Brands’ efforts to foster nonprofit partnerships and deepen employee engagement in philanthropy. LIGP invites employees to nominate and vote for local 501(c)(3) nonprofits, located within 30 miles of a U.S. Newell office or facility, that align with our philanthropic focus areas (Child Safety & Development; Education; Home, Health & Hunger; and Outdoor & the Environment), business priorities and values.

This year, 15 nonprofits across the U.S., including nine multi-year LIGP recipients, will receive a collective $175,000 in grant funding. The grants will support causes that reflect the values and passions of our workforce and Newell’s philanthropic commitment to meaningful and long-lasting community impact.

This year’s grant recipients include various organizations doing vital work in their communities. Each recipient will receive funding to support their mission and ensure their programming thrives throughout the year.

The 2025 Local Impact Grant Program recipients are:

Akron, OH

• One of a Kind Pet Rescue: The grant will support medical services for vulnerable animals, including treatment for parvo, heartworm, dental care, and common infections. Known for rescuing pets others overlook—such as elderly, injured, or sick animals—the organization provides compassionate, life-saving care and operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic and community vaccination program to serve both pets and their owners.

Atlanta, GA

• Atlanta Community Food Bank: A five-time LIGP recipient, Atlanta Community Food Bank will use the grant to expand innovative programs like school-based mobile pantries. In FY25, these pantries distributed 3.8 million pounds of food to over 150,000 children and their families, promoting health, stability, and equity across the community.
  
  
• Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation: A five-time LIGP recipient, this nonprofit will use the grant to support the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile (RMCM) that provides health education, asthma care, school-required immunizations, health checks, sports physicals and more, and brings pediatric primary care to where children live, learn and play. In 2024, the RMCM visited 33 schools in the Atlanta Public and Fulton County systems. All the schools have a majority low-income student population. In addition, in 2024, the RMCM managed 1,056 patient visits across 979 unique patients.
  
  
• City of Refuge: This grant will support Eden Village, a housing program that provides safe shelter and comprehensive services for women and children experiencing homelessness. Funding will help deliver housing, meals, healthcare access, life skills training, education, and workforce development to promote long-term stability and self-sufficiency for families.
  
  
• LifeLine Animal Project: A two-time LIGP recipient, this nonprofit will use the grant to support the Pets for Life program to provide a year’s worth of pet food and kennels for families in Atlanta’s most poverty-affected neighborhoods. The program offers free pet care resources to help keep pets with their owners, reducing shelter intake and supporting the human-animal bond in underserved communities.

Bentonville, AR

• Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter: A five-time LIGP recipient, the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter will use the grant to help expand the agency's Nutrition Program, which provides over 43,000 healthy meals annually to children in emergency shelter care who have experienced trauma and food insecurity. The funding will also help develop a custom teaching curriculum that empowers youth through culinary education, life skills, and workforce development, transforming food into a pathway for healing and long-term well-being.

High Point, NC

• Out of the Garden Project: A two-time LIGP recipient, this nonprofit will use the grant to help sustain its Fresh Mobile Market at Parkview Village Elementary School, a monthly mobile food pantry that provides free groceries to approximately 100 low-income households per visit. The grant will ensure continued access to fresh, nutritious food for families facing food insecurity, especially during times when school meals are unavailable.

Huntersville & Gastonia, NC:

• BREAD Community Food Bank: This grant will support a new walk-in freezer to safely store the growing volume of frozen food donations received weekly—far beyond the capacity of their aging individual freezers. This upgrade will prevent waste, reduce energy and allow them to serve more families with nutritious, frozen meals and produce.

McMinnville, TN

• Children’s Advocacy Center for the 31st Judicial District: A two-time LIGP recipient, this nonprofit will use the grant to support the Planting Seeds of Hope program. This trauma-informed therapy program helps children who have experienced severe abuse or neglect heal and build resilience through individualized counseling and support. The program equips both children and non-offending caregivers with coping strategies and tools to foster long-term emotional recovery.

Norwalk, CT

• Person to Person: This grant will support direct program costs within the Critical Needs Assistance Program, ensuring low-income families in Fairfield County can access essential support, food, clothing and financial assistance during times of crisis.

Shelbyville, TN

• Community Development Center: A two-time LIGP recipient, this nonprofit will use the grant to help fund a sensory-friendly, inclusive play space tailored to children with autism. The space will feature AAC signage, tactile sensory walls, and calming elements like crash pads and shade structures.

South Deerfield & Whately, MA

• Manna Community Kitchen: This grant will help enhance the food program, enabling the purchase of fresh, local ingredients to serve an additional 1,500 individuals annually with nutritious, dignified meals. This funding will help sustain their mission to combat food insecurity while fostering community and support across Northampton and surrounding towns.

Wichita, KS

• Kansas Food Bank: A four-time LIGP recipient, this nonprofit will use the grant to support the Food 4 Kids weekend backpack program, which provides nutritious, shelf-stable food to children facing chronic hunger when school meals are unavailable. By partnering with schools across Kansas, including Sedgwick County, the program helps improve students’ health, behavior, and readiness to learn by ensuring they return to school nourished and focused.

Winchester, VA

• Winchester Area SPCA: A two-time LIGP recipient, this nonprofit will use the grant to fund up to 150 shelter pets to receive spay/neuter surgeries over six months at a licensed in-house clinic, helping prepare them for adoption and reducing the population of unwanted animals. This initiative improves adoption rates and eases the community burden of stray or unplanned litters.

Winfield, KS

• Cowley County Humane Society: This grant will help equip its on-site medical clinic, allowing animals to receive surgical and emergency care without being transported offsite. This upgrade will reduce animal stress, streamline operations, and improve recovery outcomes by keeping animals in a familiar environment.
