08:47 AM EDT, 04/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research reiterated its buy rating on CaixaBank (CABK.MC), with a price objective of 13 euros, following the Spanish lender's first-quarter earnings report.

CaixaBank's reported net profit came in at 1.57 billion euros in the quarter, surpassing the consensus estimate of 1.47 billion euros, according to a Thursday note.

"The P&L beat was driven by better fees, other provisions and lower taxes (incl. DTA write-up). NII was a 1% miss and costs were in line, while CET1 saw the accrual of another EUR0.5bn buybacks. CABK guidance for 2026e upgraded: ROTE now seen at >18% (vs previous guide of c.18%). Other targets confirmed,"analysts said. "Overall, we see value in the predictable and recurring nature of Caixabank's business, but acknowledge that trends are captured by consensus already."
